It is critical to make use of technology and digitalization tools and to plan the management of the process (governance) in the most effective way while progressing towards becoming a smart and sustainable city. The power of the effect to be created and the potential to be disseminated will increase as long as these concepts are focused on.

In this context, with the partnership of Karşıyaka Municipality and the contributions of İnci Holding, Yaşar University, Katip Çelebi University, Eldor, Karşıyaka Municipality Collective Entrepreneurship Center, For Climate and Energy Problems; We have set up a 3-day idea development marathon with the main headings of Energy and Climate, focusing on the development of Technological, Smart and Sustainable Solutions.

12 teams and 38 participants from different disciplines who took part in the event, which we facilitated, designed and conducted at Karşıyaka Municipality Yamanlar Youth Center, were accompanied by experts in their fields and mentors and facilitators included in our community network. 

At the end of the hackathon, 12 teams and 3 project ideas were awarded, including an already incorporated initiative  Salty from 12 teams and project ideas that prototyped their ideas before the jury.
